The Mukherjee Lab seeks to understand how malaria parasites build and deploy the molecular machinery required for host cell invasion, intracellular survival, and transmission. We combine genetic, biochemical, cell biological, proteomic, and imaging approaches to uncover fundamental mechanisms of parasite biology and identify vulnerabilities that can be exploited for antimalarial drug development.
